Pastor Dale Brooks – Senior Pastor

Dale and his son, Will, are the heart of Avalon Church. Dale’s practical education comes from spending 14 years in business and over 20 years in full time ministry. Dale has a compassion for people that is visibly demonstrated through both his Sunday messages, and his weekday ministries. His faith, vision and enthusiasm have led Avalon Church to the place it is today. Dale and his wonderful wife, Leigh Anne, were married for 14 years prior to her death in April 2009.

Pastor Jim Groves – Executive Pastor

Jim and Debbie have been married since 1972 and have a son, Mike, who lives in Georgia and a daughter, Danielle, who along with her husband Jason are active members of Avalon Church. Jim and Debbie have been members of Avalon Church almost from its beginning. Jim’s pastoral experience and administrative skills are helping lead Avalon Church into a dynamic church that seeks to impact the community for Christ. Jim also serves as the Executive Director of Journey Ministries of Central Florida, a local pastoral counseling center.

Pastor Dustin Janney – Youth and Worship Pastor

Dustin and Brooke have been married since June 2003 and have two daughters, Carley and Baileigh. Dustin serves in multiple capacities on our Pastoral staff, including Youth and Worship Pastor. Dustin and Brooke love working with middle and high school students, and have a passion to see them become excited about their faith.

Arthur Goncalves – Youth and Worship Assistant

Arthur and Jessica have been married since May 2008 and have a daughter and a son, Arabella and Caydan. Arthur currently serves on our worship team and works closely with our 220 youth group. Arthur and Jessica love working with Middle and High School students, and have a passion to lead them to a closer relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Dominic Mashburn – Facilities Manager

Dominic loves Avalon Church and the building God has given us. His full attention is given throughout the week to making sure the facility is maintained, repaired and prepared for all the activities that occur here. Dominic, his wife, Deanna, and their three children are a vital part of our church.

Lori Molloy - Comptroller

Lori has a passion for managing finances (and anything else she does!) with excellence. She works closely with Pastor Dale and the Elders to execute the budget with meticulous accuracy. Lori, her husband John, and their adult son Michael have been active, hardworking members of Avalon Church from its very first Sunday.

Cindy Williams - Secretary

The friendly voice on the phone and the smiling face at the church office window belong to Cindy. She and her husband Gene are involved in some of the Children’s Ministries at Avalon. Cindy loves the Lord and finds it a great joy to serve at Avalon Church. She has two sons, Justin and Matthew.

Deanna Mashburn - Children's Director

Deanna brings boundless energy and a unique set of organizational skills to the position of Children’s Ministry Director. She, her husband Dominic and their three children, Kayla, Ian and Dylan, are active in almost every arena of church life at Avalon.
