Mission Statement

The Mission of the Ladies ministry is to support the mission of Avalon church by fostering and developing an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible Study and Christian service to others and fellowship.

Purpose

To equip and encourage the women of Avalon to grow and mature in their relationship with Christ and each other. To live and share with others the ABUNDANT LIFE offered by the Lord.

John 10:10 "...I have come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly."

Scripture teaches this as well. We are told in Titus 2:3 that the older are to teach the younger. That does not necessarily mean "old" ladies, although it could. It means those who have experienced it, seen God's grace through certain events. We need mentors, from sharing domestic ideas of homemaking, to child rearing, to the spiritual aspects of life.

Our theme verse, John 10:10 teaches us that Christ came to offer the abundant life in Him. We can be free from sin, free to serve, and free to produce fruit for His glory!

To encourage this we have specfic areas that we pray God develops in each ladies’ life. We pray that each lady will develop an increase intimacy with God in her relationship and that she will have a desire to share this in her community with her friends and fellow believers.
