July 20, 2011
As Pastor Dale mentioned yesterday, 24 of our church family are in Haiti, serving in remote villages high up on a mountain near Jacmel (on the map you will find it on the coast south of Port-Au-Prince). Here are two updates from Sunday afternoon.
From Nancy Rodriguez: Hi loved ones! We made it to Jacmel. Harrowing experience...mountain roads...horns blaring...devastation...but beautiful people!! Now it's up one more mountain and we'll be "home" for a week :-) Blessings everyone! PRAY FOR OUR TRIP DOWN THE MOUNTAIN in a week! And of course, the rest of the way today! Thanks! I LOVE YOU ALL!
An hour later from Brock Young: We have made it safely to Jacmel. Everyone is safe with only some mild motion sickness, but all are well. We are currently eating lunch at a nice, local restaurant and will head out shortly. Know that we are safe and healthy. Everyone already misses their families and sends their love. Please keep us in prayer and that our week will be gloriously productive and serves our Lord to the MAX!
Please continue to pray daily for the team! |
