Jesus made it really plain that to be more and more like Him would include being more and more aware of the community around us...and then reaching out to love and serve that community. Avalon Church has active partnerships with the following organizations that provide wonderful opportunities to share through service.

They always need folks to cook and/or deliver meals, distribute supplies and equipment or simply sit and talk with folks on a Sunday afternoon. The relationships you establish will affect you for a lifetime.
CHRISTIAN HELP Working to prevent homelessness by helping people find jobs while providing for them materially and spiritually. Contact: Christian Help branch at University Presbyterian Church on Rouse Road, 407-834-4022 Description: A full array of volunteer tasks, including answering phones, data entry, stocking food pantry shelves, assisting at job fairs and more.
CORNERSTONE PREGNANCY CENTER Touching the lives of women who are pregnant, are considering abortion or have experienced abortion Contact: Debbie Denton, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , 407-455-3054 Description: This wonderful facility located on the property of First Baptist Church of Union Park provides equipment and supplies, informational classes, individual counseling and a safe place for pregnant women to talk about the issues and challenges of pregnancy, abortion and post-abortion experiences. Volunteer opportunities include everything from answering phones and preparing materials to praying with women.
UNITED GLOBAL OUTREACH (UGO) Serving the less fortunate in the community of Bithlo.
