The “Worship Triangle” | Avalon Church

Boy Scouts, firefighters and mom’s who let their kids cook in the kitchen all know about the “Fire Triangle” (also known as the “Combustion Triangle”).

The triangle illustrates the three elements that must be present to have fire: heat, fuel, and oxygen. Boys Scouts, firefighters and moms all learn that to extinguish a fire (especially an unwanted or dangerous one) simply remove any one of the elements of the triangle and the fire will go out (e.g. spraying water on a house fire to remove the heat).

This Sunday we are going to revisit the conversation between Jesus and the Samaritan woman to discover the “Worship Triangle.” All three elements must be present to have true worship. Remove any one of the elements and worship is extinguished.

I hope you will join us this Sunday as Pastor Dale reveals from the Word of God the elements of the “Worship Triangle.” In preparation for our time of study this Sunday, let me encourage you to read the following verses:

  • John 4:16-26 – Jesus discusses how true worshippers worship

Come prepared this Sunday to worship – oh, and to sing, also.
