Sundays | 6PM
Our Goal at 220 is to introduce the gospel in a real way to our students and cultivate an authentic relationship with Jesus. In partnership with families, the youth ministry of 220 exists to engage 100% of the students under its care, to train them to live independently in Christ, and to send them out as exceptional, Godly men and women of integrity who will transform their homes, their schools, their churches, their workplaces, and their worlds for Christ. The origin of our name is from Galatians 2:20 – “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
WHAT TO EXPECT
First you’ll have a little time to hang out with other students, we’ll usually play a game or two, and then you’ll hear a challenging message from God’s Word. This is the best place to get to know other students at Avalon Church.

This season truly is amazing, but everyone has a different reason for why that is. In this message Pastor Arthur will unpack Luke 2:1-20 and find out why the shepherds needed an army of angels to deliver this incredible news of a savior being born. What does it mean when the Angels said ““Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased” (Luke 2:14).

In our world today, wouldn’t it be nice to know as a student that happiness is not dependent on having even your most basic physical needs met? If “blessed” means “happy”, what was Jesus getting at when He said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit,” or “blessed are those who hunger and thirst”? Can we possess true and lasting happiness?
What is the purpose of this Beatitudes study? Christ, Himself, promised it would produce deep-down, abiding happiness.
God wants us to have BIG faith in Him, but sometimes students have a hard time trying to figure out how to obtain that kind of faith. In this fitbit FAITH series we will go through the book of Hebrews, and look at how to grow our little faith into BIG faith one step at a time!
Week Two: Marathon Faith
In this Q & A series we are asking students to turn in any question they have about bible, religion, faith,Jesus,
This series we are challenging and teaching your children how to go and make disciples. We will need your help though, we have set up a 3 week bible study that will run in conjunction with our series that we are challenging your children to host, and invite their friends to on their own time and location. The study will be on our 220 Students app, they will need to download it, you can download it on any device or bring home a hard copy that we will have on our welcome table. We believe this series can take their faith and relationship with the Lord to new heights and accomplish what Jesus commanded us to do in the great commission!
We are heading into a new school year that will have it’s own tests and trials, although it might seem scary, The bible says although some tests and trials strike us down, we will always get back up in Christ!
This Summer we will look into the lives of people in the scriptures that had stories that shine, but not without some bumps in the road in the process. This summer we will look into how to write a story that will shine for generations to come!
My So Called Friends is a series on finding out what God’s standards are for what we call “True Friends” ! We are privileged to have the greatest example of a true friend, Jesus has set the bar and we must respond, Who are are so called friends?
Week Two: No Compromise
In a culture filled with temptation, our students are faced with traps and snares everywhere they go. In this new series we will dive into the word of God and provide the warning signs for these deadly temptations. There is a way out, and it involves Jesus.
Words carry a lot of weight, in culture saturated with criticism and hard words, our students are in desperate need of encouragement! Not only do we want to encourage our young people, but we want to teach them the importance of being ENCOURAGERS, God’s word says “Kind words are like honey-sweet to the soul and healthy for the body (Proverbs 16:24)! Encouraging words separate us from our culture, and shine Jesus to a overly cynical world, and brings health and restoration to the body and soul!
God loves and cares for us so much that He has given us laws of freedom. In this 5 week series we will explore the importance of being one with the Father, and how that impacts Christians being one with one another. This series will set you free from the lies of our current culture!
Week Five: Cliques
It’s a new year, now what?? How can we prevent this year from being different from last year? First we have to find out what we are getting ready for, once this is identified we can better understand the “HOW” and the “WHAT” and GO to all the world to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ!
Have you ever wondered why God chose a star to announce the birth of His Son and direct those searching for Him? Pastor Arthur uses the galaxies to communicate wonder, awe and humility in the Christmas season. Jesus becomes great and we become small. It is time for us to stand in awe of the plan God set in motion to restore mankind to Himself. Salvation has come, and all of creation declares the great announcement. Gaze in wonder. It’s a starry night – look up.
